1602 Life Bar

Named after the year the first map of Borneo was published, 1602 was founded by Dato Sri Vincent Lee Kee Lung and is led by brewer Randy Liew, formerly of Thirsty Asia in Singapore. All four core beers pour here: Fountain Lager, Jungle Pale Ale, Hunter Extra Dark and Wheat Beer, brewed with European techniques and local ingredients.

It's an easy entry point for Kuching drinkers new to craft. 1602 also pioneered growlers in Malaysia and put draught taps in local convenience stores; look out for the bar's events and tasting sessions.
