TIGR Kitchen Bar (formerly Black & Brick)

Known for years as Black & Brick and now trading as TIGR Kitchen Bar Livehouse, this is a no-frills bar and grill at the Albany Commercial Centre on Airport Road, south of the city centre. The reason to come is the draught 1602 Craft Beer from Kuching, usually both the lager and the pale ale, poured alongside Connor's stout and Carlsberg. It is one of the few places in Miri with Sarawak craft on tap rather than in bottles.

The kitchen leans on the grill: babi panggang, moo ping pork skewers, chicken wings and burgers, with Western plates and local noodles too. Dishes come out slowly at busy times, so order early and settle in. There is seating inside and out, live music some nights, and it opens from noon until midnight.
