Pink Blossoms Brewing is one of Singapore's most beloved homegrown craft breweries — a true labour of love born from one man's obsession with American craft beer. Founder and brewer Hong Han Teo spent years visiting over 100 breweries across the United States before returning to Singapore in early 2018 to build his dream brewery from scratch. An accountant and tax advisor by training, he earned a diploma from the American Brewers Guild in Vermont before making the leap. Pink Blossoms poured its first pint to the public in August 2018.

The brewery and taproom occupy a modest unit in an Ubi industrial estate — unpretentious, clean-walled, with whimsical watercolour animal paintings and the gentle hum of tanks in the background. It's a working brewery first and taproom second, which is exactly the point: every beer on tap is brewed metres away from where you're sitting, and the freshness shows. The lineup typically runs six to eight taps, rotating through flagship styles and seasonal specials. Core beers include the Lean on Me New England Pale Ale (citrus and stone fruit, one of the taproom's most-ordered pints), Don't Stop Believing NEIPA, Hundred Years full-bodied milk stout with espresso and chocolate notes, and the Let It Be Diana rice IPA. Seasonals have included a Mango Sticky Rice Smoothie Beer, Salty Berries Sour Ale, oolong lagers, and a festbier for Oktoberfest.

The taproom operates with a no-food policy — but guests are warmly encouraged to bring their own food (BYOF), and delivery works just fine. Tables are limited, so reservations are recommended on weekends. Hong Han is usually behind the bar or in the brewhouse and is happy to walk curious visitors through the beers and the process. It's the kind of place where you understand exactly what Singapore craft beer tastes like when it's made by someone who genuinely cares about every pint.

Pink Blossoms also operates Singapore's first craft beer truck, which has parked at CBD locations including Capital Tower, Ocean Financial Centre, and The Promontory @ Marina Bay. Cans of their core range are available via their webstore for delivery island-wide.
