Nautical-themed Ho Chi Minh City brewery founded in 2019, brewing lagers, ales and fruit hard sodas for its Binh Thanh taproom and over 150 outlets.
Steersman Brewery was founded in Ho Chi Minh City in 2019 by best friends Wayne Su and Ben Minh Nguyen. It began, in the brewery's words, as a small project in a dorm room and was set up as a distribution brewery, with a taproom always part of the plan. The beers and hard sodas are brewed in Vietnam, and the brewery says they are sold in more than 150 bars, restaurants and convenience stores around the country. The ship's wheel logo and nautical theme run through the brand. Dark Horse, its brown ale, won silver for best dark or brown ale at SEA Brew 2022.

Where to drink it
The home of the beer is the Steersman Taproom at 84 Pham Viet Chanh in Binh Thanh, with a pool table, chicken wings and tasting flights. The earlier three-storey flagship on Phan Ke Binh in Da Kao, opened in 2023, closed in April 2026. Around Saigon, Steersman is a regular among the local beers at Malt Saigon and on the guest taps at BiaCraft (Thao Dien). In Hanoi, the hard sodas have been poured at Peachy Craft Beer and Coffee in 2026. All of these are listed below.
