East West Brewing Co

East West Brewing Co. started in Ho Chi Minh City in 2016 and opened its first taproom, behind Ben Thanh Market in District 1, in 2017. That same year it began distributing its beer to other outlets in the city. It is led by founder and general manager Loc Truong, and the name reflects the idea of bringing brewing traditions from both sides of the world together. The company brews at its own brewery in Vietnam, handling everything from mash to packaging in-house, and introduced cans in 2019. It now says its beer reaches more than 1,000 restaurants, hotels, supermarkets and convenience stores in Vietnam, with exports to markets including Taiwan and Hong Kong. It also has a stake in Dalat Cider.
