Hong Kong craft brewery that started in Luke Yardley's Lamma Island living room and now brews in Kwai Chung, with Hong Kong's largest barrel-ageing programme and two taprooms.
Yardley Brothers was first brewed in Luke Yardley's living room on Lamma Island, and the family business, run with his brother Duncan, grew alongside Hong Kong's craft beer scene. It opened a 7-hectolitre brewery in Kwai Hing in 2016 and moved into new purpose-built premises in the Wing Hang Industrial Building, Kwai Chung, in 2023. The brewery runs twin 2,000-litre kettles with capacity of around 50,000 litres a month, and says it has Hong Kong's largest barrel-ageing facility, with more than 75 oak barrels. It describes its approach as #RealCraft: traditional methods mixed with Asian and Western fusions, unusual ingredients and mixed fermentation. Its beers have won awards at local, regional and international competitions.
