Hong Kong's most decorated craft brewery, brewing since 2013 and now running a 40HL brewhouse in Wong Chuk Hang with Asia's first brewing foeder.
Young Master, or Siu Yeh in Cantonese, was founded by Rohit Dugar and commissioned its first brewery, a 10HL setup in Ap Lei Chau, in November 2013. Having quickly outgrown it, the company opened a fully automated 40HL brewery in Wong Chuk Hang in August 2016, with bottling and canning lines, a large barrel-ageing area and a sour and mixed-fermentation programme built around a foeder, which the brewery says was the first in Asia. The Ap Lei Chau site became a small-batch pilot brewery and was decommissioned at the end of 2023. The brewery is known for reworking Hong Kong flavours, such as the salted lime of a cha chaan teng drink, in beer form, and it also makes the HIGHERTHAN canned highballs.

Where to drink it
The flagship taproom is Young Master Central, which opened in September 2026 with 10 taps at BaseHall 01 in Jardine House, Central. The group also runs TAP: The Ale Project in Mong Kok, and in Causeway Bay there is Second Draft & Friends, the gastropub Young Master co-founded in 2016, now with 22 taps of mostly local craft beer at Fashion Walk. At the Wong Chuk Hang brewery there are Saturday tours you can book online, and beer to take away. Outside Hong Kong it turns up on the rotating taps at Almost Famous in Singapore and Project Smoked Dong in Johor Bahru.
