Asia Beer Championship 2026 Results: Hong Kong Beer Co Takes Champion Beer of Asia

The results of the 2026 Asia Beer Championship were announced on stage at Brew Asia in Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday 29 October. Run by the Asia Brewers Network and now in its ninth year, the competition is open to commercial breweries based in Asia. Beers are judged blind in Singapore over two days by brewers and certified judges from the region and abroad, with gold, silver and bronze medals in 32 beer style categories. Judges also hand out Chairman's Selections to beers that narrowly missed the podium.

Hong Kong had the big night, with Hong Kong Beer Company taking both Champion Beer of Asia and Champion Medium Sized Brewery. China won the most medals by a distance, and Bangkok's United Peoples Brewery picked up four of the major awards. Below are the headline awards, every medal in all 32 categories, and where you can drink some of the winners.

It is a big result for Beaches, which only started brewing in north-west Bali in 2022 and took two bronzes, for Beaches Pale Ale and Beaches Hazy Pale Ale. Brewerkz adds this year's Singapore title to the ones it won in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

The medal table

Singapore went without a gold but took six silvers, shared between Brewerkz (Still Mitch and Red Billion), People People Brewing Co. (Pacific Ale and Oatmeal Stout) and Sunbird (Galactic Tropical Stout and Pulut Hitam Imperial Stout), plus a bronze for Brewerkz's Deer Kick stout. Indonesia's silver went to Islands of Imagination for Island Hoppin' Pale Ale.

Where to drink the winners

Several of this year's winners run taprooms in our guide. In Bangkok, United Peoples Brewery is the warehouse brewpub north of Chatuchak where the gold-medal Chatuchak Lager and Land Slider IPA are brewed and poured. In Pattaya, Wizard Beer's own bar, Wizard Brewery on Soi 14, is the place to look for its silver-medal sour.

7 Bridges pours its beer at two taprooms in District 1, Saigon, on Đông Du and Lê Thánh Tôn, and at its Hanoi taproom on West Lake. Also in Saigon, Rooster Beers, bronze medallist for Rooster Dark, has its own taproom, Tiem Bia Ga on Bui Vien.

In Hong Kong, Deadman Brewery, gold medallist for Crazy Rabbits stout, opens its San Po Kong brewhouse for tours and tastings, and fruit beer gold winner Young Master pours at Young Master Central in Jardine House; see our Young Master Brewery page for its other bars. In China, Jing-A's 798 Taproom in Beijing has 24 taps and a rooftop, and Trueman has a taproom in Guangzhou on Tiyudong Road. In Seoul, Artmonster's Euljiro taproom is up a neon-lit staircase. In Manila, Engkanto, silver medallist for Good Game Pale Ale, has taprooms in BGC and at Bridgetowne.
